Our mission is to bring together the large network of Dallas’ service industry establishments and professionals for a one day charity event jam-packed with excitement, entertainment and most importantly hand crafted spirits created by Dallas’ very own bartending professionals with hopes of fashioning Dallas’ Best Cocktail of 2012.
COCKTAIL-A-PALOOZA™, scheduled to occur on Sunday October 14, 2012 in the streets of Deep Ellum in Dallas, Texas, will be the pinnacle of bartending competitions. As an invite-only contest, 25-30 selected bartenders, representing Dallas’ hottest and most popular restaurants, bars, clubs and drinking establishments, will compete against one another for the chance to have their cocktail crowned, “Dallas’ Best Cocktail.”
Each contestant will have the same liquors to create their cocktail with, but will be allowed to bring any mixers, fruits and other ingredients they feel will help separate their specialty drink concoction from those of the other competitors. Public voting shall determine the winner and prizes, ranging from cash, to a gold-plated bar key, to a write up in the Dallas Observer, and of course, bragging rights, will be awarded to the three bartenders and establishments that amass the most votes.
With a carnival-style ambiance, the streets of Dallas will be overflowing with entertainment throughout the competition. In addition to tasting each bartenders’ specialty cocktail, attendees will enjoy live music, DJ’s, performers, awesome trendy food trucks and much more. It’s not just another drink competition; it’s a truly unique experience.
